Hematocrit definition: The volume of packed RED BLOOD CELLS in a blood specimen. The volume is measured by centrifugation in a tube with graduated markings, or with automated blood cell counters. It is an indicator of erythrocyte status in disease. For example, ANEMIA shows a low value; POLYCYTHEMIA, a high value.
Hematocrit Measurement definition: A measure of the volume of red blood cells expressed as a percentage of the total blood volume. Normal in males is 43-49%, in females 37-43%.
Hematocrit definition: The percentage of a whole blood specimen that is composed of red blood cells (erythrocytes).
HCT116 Cells definition: Human COLORECTAL CARCINOMA cell line.
Alternative Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation definition: A procedure in which hematopoietic stem cells are given for another reason, not to reconstitute the patient's immune system.

The blood pressure lowering effect of substitution by Candesartan/HCT was most pronounced as assessed by systolic OBPM (162 ± 15 vs 148 ± 17 for group B and 161 ± 16 vs 142 ± 23 for group C; p < 0.025) whereas diastolic OBPM reduction did not change significantly.

Isolation of the gene sequence was achieved by using a PCR strategy with degenerated primers targeted to conserved regions of orthologous HCT sequences available.

In silico studies revealed the globe artichoke HCT sequence clustering with one of the main acyltransferase groups (i.e. anthranilate N-hydroxycinnamoyl/benzoyltransferase).
