Cultural Characteristics definition: Those aspects or characteristics which identify a culture.
Family Characteristics definition: Size and composition of the family.
Job Description definition: Statement of the position requirements, qualifications for the position, wage range, and any special conditions expected of the employee.
Population Characteristics definition: Qualities and characterization of various types of populations within a social or geographic group, with emphasis on demography, health status, and socioeconomic factors.
Residence Characteristics definition: Elements of residence that characterize a population. They are applicable in determining need for and utilization of health services.
Risk Factors definition: An aspect of personal behavior or lifestyle, environmental exposure, or inborn or inherited characteristic, which, on the basis of epidemiologic evidence, is known to be associated with a health-related condition considered important to prevent.
risk factor definition: Anything that increases a person's chance of developing a disease. Some examples of risk factors for cancer include a family history of cancer, use of tobacco products, certain foods, exposure to radiation or cancer-causing agents, and certain genetic alterations.
Risk Factor definition: Any aspect of an individual's life, behavior, an environmental exposure, or an inborn or inherited characteristic that increases the likelihood of a disease, condition or injury.
Sex Characteristics definition: Those characteristics that distinguish one SEX from the other. The primary sex characteristics are the OVARIES and TESTES and their related hormones. Secondary sex characteristics are those which are masculine or feminine but not directly related to reproduction.
gender difference definition: characteristics or qualities that distinguish one sex from the other; qualities, conditions, disorders, etc., which contribute to similarities and differences between sexes.
