Nutritive Value definition: An indication of the contribution of a food to the nutrient content of the diet. This value depends on the quantity of a food which is digested and absorbed and the amounts of the essential nutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrate, minerals, vitamins) which it contains. This value can be affected by soil and growing conditions, handling and storage, and processing.
nutrient bioavailability definition: extent to which nutrients become available at the site of action or the accessibility to a site of action.
Reference Values definition: The range or frequency distribution of a measurement in a population (of organisms, organs or things) that has not been selected for the presence of disease or abnormality.
Reference Range definition: A set of values of particular type of measurement that is used to interpret corresponding observation results.
Social Values definition: Abstract standards or empirical variables in social life which are believed to be important and/or desirable.
psychological values definition: abstract concept which determines for a person or social group the relative worth of various goals or variables which are believed to be important and/or desirable.
